THE HERMENEUTICS OF THE BASIC CHRYSTOLOGICAL CONCEPTS OF HANS URS VON BALTHASAR'S THEOLOGY
Summary
In order to comprehend the Christology of Hans Urs von Balthasar, one of the most prominent of twentiethcentury theologians, it is apparently essential to familiarize with the key concepts employed by the Swiss theologian whilst describing the Christ Event. Doubtless, in Christological reflection of Balthasar it is mission, obedience, kenosis and universale concretum. Scrutinizing the key concepts of Balthasar's Christology one cannot separate them from their paschal as well as intratrinitarian context. Hence, hermeneutics of terms: mission, obedience, kenosis and universale concretum requires presenting them in the light of the Triune immanent life and also His work within the Salvation History.
Comprehension of these Balthasar's Christology concepts necessitates recalling their primary meanings and the way of understanding by the Swiss theologian as well as referring to biblical, philosophical or cultural perspective. Eventually, setting in an appropriate context and taking Misterium Paschalis and Misterium Trinitatis into consideration may help to outline the horizon of Balthasar's Christology.

IS IT THE END OF THE WORLD? AN ATTEMPT TO ANSWER THE QUESTION IN LIGHT OF THE ESCHATOLOGY ACCORDING TO HANS URS VON BALTHASAR
Summary
It seems that the recent events of the war in Ukraine, the worldwide economic crisis, climate change, and Covid 19 pandemic lead people to see in them the signs of the end of the world. This article is the attempt to consider current events in light of the faith in Christ and analyze the validity of the claim that we are nearing the end of the world. Instrumental in this endeavor will be the eschatology of Hans Urs von Balthasar - after the initial presentation of his view, the author presents Balthasar's understanding of the end of the world and juxtaposes it with a view of an Italian theologian, Antonio Nitrola, who founds his view on eschatology on Parousia, the second coming of Christ. The article highlights the need of Christian understanding of preparation for death, and describes death as a personal end of the world, inevitable and necessary to be prepared for.

THE ATTRACTION OF JOACHIMISM. INTERPRETATION OF JOACHIM OF FIORE'S THOUGHT IN CONTEMPORARY THEOLOGY. SUMMARY
Joachim of Fiore developed a vision of the whole of history, with a strongly eschatological orientation, based on the doctrine of the Trinity and divided into three successive eras: the age of the Father, that of the Son, and the final, spiritually perfect, age of the Spirit. Some contemporary theologians are influenced by this original theology and also critique it. H. de Lubac comes to a negative judgement on Joachim's vision because it undermines the truth about Christological fulfilment. H. U. von Balthasar appreciates the basic intuition of the Calabrian abbot, while seeking to put right what is distored in it by underlining the permanent work of the Holy Spirit in the Church. J. Moltmann appropriates Joachim's Trinitarian schema, but refuses to see the three aspects as three successive stages. He also interprets Joachim's eschatology and that of Thomas Aquinas as two complementary sides of Christian hope.

summarium/abstract:
SIMILARITIES BETWEEN HANS URS VON BALTHASAR AND FAUSTYNA KOWALSKA IN THE PERCEPTION OF THE "LAST THINGS"
Summary
The twentieth century theology has underlined the interdependence of theology and spirituality: the role of theology is to interpret spirituality and spirituality is to give a new life to theology. We can observe this dependence clearly in Hans Urs von Balthasar's works. He was one of the restorers of the contemporary theology. The similarities between the theologian from Switzerland and Polish mystic Faustyna Kowalska are inspiring and interesting. The two, who have never heard about each other, have similar points of view in some aspects of reflection about God. The purpose of this article is to show these similarities in the field of eschatology. It means, exactly, a new perception of the judgment, eternal happiness and punishment in purgatory and hell

EVIL - THE DRAMA OF HUMAN FREEDOM AS SEEN BY HANS URS VON BALTHASAR. Summary
The existence of evil in the world is one of the fundamental issues for which humans are still looking for an answer. Hans Urs von Balthasar finds it in the possibility of human freedom. What was supposed to be the greatest gift for humans - to be free, relational, created in the image and likeness of the first relation - becomes a curse for them when they try to overcome a difference that exists between them and the Creator. In this way, humans admits absoluteness to their freedom. In order to decide on the good, they eventually fall into a lie that separates them from God. The drama is turned into tragedy. It solution Balthasar finds in soteriology. God allows humans to have their choices even if they are choices of evil, because He takes responsibility for human actions. When in Jesus Christ, entering the scene of theodrama He shows human the right way to play their role. Simultaneously by the power of the union of two freedoms, He overcomes the formed distance, redeeming humans from evil, in which they fell.
